Job Description
A Commis Chef is an entry-level position in the culinary field, working under the supervision of more experienced chefs in a kitchen. Responsibilities include food preparation, assisting in cooking and plating dishes, maintaining kitchen hygiene, and organizing ingredients. Commis Chefs gain hands-on experience in various kitchen tasks, honing their culinary skills and contributing to the overall efficiency of the kitchen. This role requires attention to detail, a willingness to learn, and the ability to work in a fast-paced culinary environment.
Longueville Manor are looking for an experienced Commis Chef to prepare and organise ingredients and all mise-en-place with the kitchen team. You’ll be responsible for the organisation, stock rotation, and labelling of food items.
The successful candidate will have experience as a commis chef in a similar role and environment. We are looking for someone who is passionate about food and wanting to develop themselves as a chef.
£26000 per annum
Approximately £2400 per annum in tips
40 hours over a 5-day week
